Why Ten to One | Habits & Habitats?
When I was in the very early stages of starting this business I was driven by three goals: I wanted to utilize my organizational strengths in a way that fed my creative side and my soul. I wanted to curate a community with my clients where we can let go of judgement and instead focus on supporting each other. And I wanted to challenge myself to create a sustainable business that simultaneously offers a way to give back to those around us who may never seek these services on their own.
And so Ten to One | Habits & Habitats was born. Ten to One represents downsizing and decluttering the things we have collected so we can reduce our stress and frustrations. Ten to One represents all of us who have ever had the odds stacked against us but persevered and found our purpose. And Ten to One represents a way for each of us to play a role in lifting someone else up through the Ten to One Pledge:
Whether you’re a busy parent, an overwhelmed caretaker, or simply have reached a point where you don’t know where to begin to reclaim your space, at Ten to One | Habits & Habitats you can find support and solutions. If you believe in the concept that “it takes a village,” then this is the place for you. With every ten completed projects, I will donate my services to someone who has been nominated by one of you (and with every project, you earn one nomination to be entered for random selection). The selected nominee will be able to choose from one of three project options (Pantry, Closet, or Playroom) and have the project completed at no cost to them.* If you know someone who deserves to have their space transformed into something that helps instead of hinders, I’d love to hear about them!
I believe that now more than ever it is important that we find ways to connect with one another, that we create homes that inspire and recharge us, and that we pursue purpose wherever and whenever we can. If this resonates with you, I would be honored to join you on your journey to reclaim & reconnect with your home.
*exclusions apply, oversized or highly cluttered spaces may require additional resources. See nomination form for more details.
